Jude Munro AO
Jude Munro is currently the Chair of the Victorian Planning Authority. She has a depth of knowledge, experience and networks across the government and private sectors like no other.
Jude has been the Chief Executive Officer of four councils: St Kilda, Moreland, Adelaide, and 10 years with Brisbane City Council. She has been a director or Chair of Uniting Care Queensland (hospitals, aged care), Metro Tasmania (buses in urban Tasmania), SunCentral Maroochydore (building a new 59 hectare CBD), Newcastle Airport, and Air Services Australia, and is currently Chair, Victorian Pride Centre.
Jude knows the issues that confront organisations and is solutions oriented. She is a problem solver who has the view that no challenge is too large, no system so dysfunctional and that all conflicts can be mediated. Jude is passionate about cities and enabling them to achieve their full potential as vibrant, effective and efficient organisations that meet the needs of their communities.
In 2010, Jude Munro was awarded the Order of Australia for distinguished service to local government. In 2018, Jude was named one of the world's 50 Outstanding LGBTI Leaders, with her mantra being "diversity leads to better workplaces, improved culture and smarter decisions."
